Self-host & contribute

dev.nityar is a single Next.js app. Every tool is a module under lib/tools/<id>/ with pure logic, a server route (optional), and a React UI — strictly separated.

Run it locally

$ git clone git@github.com:nitya-ranjan/nityar-dev-tools.git
$ cd nityar-dev-tools
$ pnpm install
$ pnpm dev        # http://localhost:3000
$ pnpm run ci     # lint + typecheck + test + build

Add a tool

  1. Scaffold lib/tools/<id>/{index,server,ui,errors}.ts(x).
  2. Keep index.ts pure — no React, no Node APIs.
  3. Register the tool in lib/tools/registry.ts.
  4. Cover it: unit tests next to each file, one Playwright e2e under tests/e2e/.
